Airport properties are a collection of very different buildings that happen to share a fence line. Terminals and FBO lobbies are glass and storefront. Cargo and ground support buildings are industrial. Maintenance shops run overhead doors hard. And the perimeter is all gates and access control. The doors have almost nothing in common except that getting to them requires badging and escort.

All Pro Door Repair services aviation properties, FBOs, cargo facilities and airport support buildings across Dallas-Fort Worth, a region with more aviation infrastructure than most states.

FBO and terminal entry doors and glazing

The customer-facing side of aviation is glass. FBO lobbies are built to impress the people walking through them, and terminal and concourse glazing is the building’s whole exterior.

These entries run high cycles with people carrying bags, and luggage is hard on thresholds and door bottoms the same way carts are in a grocery store. Closers wear out, pivots drop and doors start dragging, and exit devices stop latching.

We repair and replace closers, pivots, exit devices, continuous hinges, thresholds and full storefront entry door assemblies, and we handle commercial glass and glazing, glass replacement and emergency board-up. Glass partition walls come up in FBO and airline office build-outs, and storefront water leak repair is a recurring item on aging terminal glazing.

North Texas hail is a genuine exposure on aviation properties, and it hits glazing and exterior doors together.

Overhead doors on ground support and maintenance buildings

The buildings behind the ramp are where the overhead door work is. Ground support equipment shops, cargo and freight facilities, maintenance and fleet buildings, catering and fuel operations. These run doors constantly on operations that don’t stop at 5pm.

We service sectional overhead doors, rolling steel doors and grilles, dock doors and seals, commercial operators and gearboxes, springs, cables, tracks and safety systems. Cargo buildings in particular hit the same cycle-count problem every high-volume freight facility does: base commercial springs rated around 10,000 cycles don’t survive real cargo traffic, and high-cycle packages sized to the actual load are what ends the repeat failures.

Hangar doors

Large hangar door systems are their own category. Bi-fold, hydraulic one-piece and large sliding door systems are purpose-built equipment with wind load requirements and spans that ordinary commercial doors don’t approach.

Where we fit is the rest of the hangar and the smaller openings: the personnel doors, the shop and storage overhead doors, the office and lobby glazing, and the entry hardware. If you have a large hangar door system, call and tell us what you have. We’ll be straight with you about what we can take on and what needs the manufacturer’s specialist, rather than guessing at it.

Perimeter gates and secured access

Airport properties run a lot of gates, and they matter more here than almost anywhere because they’re the line between landside and airside.

We service commercial gates and automatic gate operators, including slide and swing units, chains, sprockets, tracks, rollers, hinges and posts. DFW clay soil moves through a dry summer, and a shifted gate post is the usual root cause behind operators that keep failing after replacement. Straightening the alignment is the repair that actually holds.

Badging, escort and working on an airport

The logistical reality of aviation work is access. Secured areas require badging or escort, work windows get coordinated around operations, and a contractor who hasn’t done it before slows everything down.

Tell us up front what the access requirements are for your facility and we’ll plan around them. We work after hours and weekends, which on an airport property is frequently when work has to happen anyway, and we answer emergency calls 24/7.

Common questions from aviation facility managers

Do you work on large hangar doors?

Tell us what system you have. We handle overhead, rolling steel, entry doors, glazing and gates across aviation properties, and we’ll tell you honestly whether a specific large hangar door system is something we take on or something that needs the manufacturer’s specialist.

Can you work in secured areas?

We coordinate around badging and escort requirements. Let us know the process at your facility when you call so it’s built into the schedule.

Our cargo dock doors keep failing. Why?

Cycle count, almost always. Cargo operations run far past what base commercial spring packages are rated for. High-cycle springs sized to real traffic solve it.

Can one vendor cover the FBO glass and the maintenance shop doors?

Yes. Entry doors, glazing, overhead doors and gates are all in-house.
